Fun half-day courses to learn the basics of manual car driving and car control in a safe low-speed environment ideal for teens and people just learning to drive

  • Holiday course
  • 3 weekend dates
  • small group 6-10 people
  • 10 am - 2 pm
  • $250pd / $700 for 3 days
  • learn to drive manual cars in a controlled space
  • Coned paddock car courses to learn manual driving and practice car control basics 
  • Taught in a safe low-risk environment - driving around cone courses in an open paddock area
  • recommended age 15-21
  • Parent/s guardians need to sign indemnity/consent form
  • Based in Waerenga 
  • drinks and snacks included

Please note this course does not include a road rules tutorial or on-road driving experience 

There is no upper age limit for this course. It will be great for anyone learning to drive and wanting to build their confidence

  • Theory of driving
  • Seating portion
  • Hand position
  • Manual controls - clutch & gear changing
  • Basic car care - refilling fuel, checking oils, changing a tyre

Driver training

  • Car control
  • Lines - slalom, cloverleaf
  • Throttle control
  • Braking & handbrake effect
  • Reversing
  • Hill Starts
  • Higher speed control - autocross
  • Loose surface (gravel) control
