You’ll be provided with an array of flowers and leaves to work with, arranging them how you please to colour the fabric. After learning the hammering technique, take the finished piece home for use in your home as a table runner, wall tapestry, cushion cover or as an alternative to gift wrap.
No experience necessary. All materials will be provided. If you would like to bring your own material, choose 100% cotton fabric.

About the artist:
Long time Bay of Plenty local, Melissa Spargo is following a family tradition of working with plant dyes. She is also passionate about helping divert fabric waste from landfill so combines these to weave wall hangings, as well as to create a myriad of other bohemian style home & garden décor items.
Using seasonal gatherings from Mother Nature to extract plant dyes, Melissa loves to share her personal ethics behind the work she does and to inspire enthusiasm for the wonder of what Nature can provide!
