We want to celebrate all our members, at all experience levels! Please consider submitting some work for our upcoming annual exhibition. This is our 50th, so we want it to be special. There are many awesome awards, but it's more about celebrating you all than winning!

Conditions of entry
This exhibition is open to all financial members of the Waikato Society of Potters. Visit www.waikatopotters.co.nz for membership information. A maximum of two entries may be submitted, one of which may be a set of up to 6 pieces. Deadline for entries is 4pm on 6th October 2021.
Delivery/Collection
To the Waikato Society of Potters studios at Norris Ward Park, 2 Seddon Road, Hamilton, 10am-4 pm from 11 October - 12 October 2021, or to ArtsPost on 13 October 10am-12pm. Unsold work can be collected from ArtsPost on 22 November 10am-12pm or from Waikato Society of Potters 23 November – 9 December.
Selection
The selection will be done by two members of the WSP Committee. The selectors’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Awards, as shown above will be given at the Judge’s discretion (John Parker). Exceptions are the People’s Choice Award, which will be voted by exhibition visitors and announced on 23 November, after the exhibition closes; and the Mug award to be judged by Jenni Taris.
Originality
All work must have been created in the last 12 months and be the sole work of the member, unless it is a joint work between two or more financial members, each of whom must be listed on the entry form. The work must be wholly original and not a copy of, or otherwise directly derived from, material seen elsewhere. Submissions previously exhibited at ArtsPost are not eligible for this exhibition.
Sales
A commission of 25% + GST will be taken off the selling price by ArtsPost. Waikato Society of Potters is registered for GST. Prices must be shown in complete dollars and include GST. All entries must be for sale. In recognition of ArtsPost's commitment towards developing local artists, Hamilton-based artists are eligible to a significantly reduced gallery commission of 25% on sales, including GST, which is a discount of 21% [from the original commission of 46%].
Packaging
All pots must be securely packaged in reusable packaging, which has the following information printed and attached to the box: a photo of the work, the name of the work, your name and your phone number. Also attach a copy of your entry form; one copy per entry. It is the responsibility of the potter to deliver and pick up their work. A second copy of the form should be provided to the Waikato Society of Potters manager.
Insurance Insurance is the responsibility of the potter.

All due care will be taken with every aspect of the exhibition, but the organisers will not be responsible for clerical errors, nor unforeseen mistakes, including accidents or breakages. By entering into this exhibition, it is accepted by the exhibitor that they agree to these conditions and that photos of their work may be used for publicity purposes by WSP and sponsors.
