Please\nconsider submitting some work for our upcoming annual exhibition. This\nis our 50th, so we want it to be special. Visit www.waikatopotters.co.nz for membership\ninformation. A maximum of two entries may be submitted, one of which\nmay be a set of up to 6 pieces. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS 4PM ON 6TH\nOCTOBER 2021.\n\nDELIVERY/COLLECTION\nTo the Waikato Society of Potters studios at Norris Ward Park, 2\nSeddon Road, Hamilton, 10am-4 pm from 11 October - 12 October 2021, or\nto ArtsPost on 13 October 10am-12pm. Unsold work can be collected from\nArtsPost on 22 November 10am-12pm or from Waikato Society of Potters\n23 November – 9 December.\n\nSELECTION\nThe selection will be done by two members of the WSP Committee. The\nselectors’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be\nentered into. The Awards, as shown above will be given at the\nJudge’s discretion (John Parker). Exceptions are the People’s\nChoice Award, which will be voted by exhibition visitors and announced\non 23 November, after the exhibition closes; and the Mug award to be\njudged by Jenni Taris.\n\nORIGINALITY \nAll work must have been created in the last 12 months and be the sole\nwork of the member, unless it is a joint work between two or more\nfinancial members, each of whom must be listed on the entry form. The\nwork must be wholly original and not a copy of, or otherwise directly\nderived from, material seen elsewhere. Submissions previously\nexhibited at ArtsPost are not eligible for this exhibition.\n\nSALES\nA commission of 25% + GST will be taken off the selling price by\nArtsPost. Waikato Society of Potters is registered for GST. Prices\nmust be shown in complete dollars and include GST. All entries must be\nfor sale. In recognition of ArtsPost's commitment towards developing\nlocal artists, Hamilton-based artists are eligible to a significantly\nreduced gallery commission of 25% on sales, including GST, which is a\ndiscount of 21% [from the original commission of 46%].\n\nPACKAGING\nAll pots must be securely packaged in reusable packaging, which has\nthe following information printed and attached to the box: a photo of\nthe work, the name of the work, your name and your phone number. Also\nattach a copy of your entry form; one copy per entry. It is the\nresponsibility of the potter to deliver and pick up their work. A\nsecond copy of the form should be provided to the Waikato Society of\nPotters manager.\nInsurance Insurance is the responsibility of the potter.\n\nDISCLAIMER\nAll due care will be taken with every aspect of the exhibition, but\nthe organisers will not be responsible for clerical errors, nor\nunforeseen mistakes, including accidents or breakages. By entering\ninto this exhibition, it is accepted by the exhibitor that they agree\nto these conditions and that photos of their work may be used for\npublicity purposes by WSP and sponsors.
