The REAL People Management Programme is a six-part training programme that supports managers with the tools and skills they need to lead their people well.
Workshop 1: First Things First (2nd Feb)
Get clear about what it takes to be an effective Manager and learn more about your unique leadership style. How do your natural talents and tendencies help you in the management space, and how might they trip you up? Discover some practical strategies for using your unique strengths to manage well.
Workshop 2: Setting Clear Expectations (16th Feb)
For a team to be truly effective, each person needs to be clear about what is expected of them—both in terms of behaviour and performance. Learn some simple processes for setting clear expectations for your team.
Workshop 3: REAL Management Tools (2nd March)
It’s not enough to set and forget. If you want your team to perform, you need to provide regular and relevant support that ensures your people have the skills, capacity, and desire to do their job well. Discover some simple strategies for growing an engaged, high performing team.
Workshop 4: Navigating the Tricky Stuff (16th March)
Manging conflict, poor behaviour and poor performance are all a part of a manager’s role. Learn how to have vital conversations that enable you to hold people to account and re-set expectations in a positive way.
Workshop 5: Effective Communication (30th March)
As a manager, you need to communicate well with a range of different stakeholders. Unpack a simple framework that helps you plan conversations and presentations in a way that gets the right message, to the right people, in the right way.
Workshop 6: Peer Coaching and Presentations (13th April)
The best way to learn is to teach. In this session, you’ll have a chance to put everything you have learned into practice, as we share ideas, advice and reflections through peer coaching and learning presentations. This is a chance to answer any remaining questions or challenges and set new management goals for the rest of 2022.
