Kiln Licence Workshop

This workshop is for people who are wanting to hire an electric kiln at WSP. The course will be a 1-day workshop that will cover both theory and practical aspects to hiring and using WSP kilns. 

This course will cover how to load and unload kilns in a safe and appropriate manner, what is happening inside a kiln during a firing, chemical changes in the pottery, what can go wrong in a kiln and what kind of damage can be done and how electric kiln programs work. 

To hire a kiln and fire at WSP you will need to hold a valid WSP Kiln Licence.

Terms and Conditions

"The Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right cancel a class if it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons outside of our control. A full refund will be given if the class is cancelled by the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels their enrolment within 72 hours of the first class starting, no refund will be given. If a student cancels their booking less than 7 days prior to the event a 50% administration charge will be deducted from the refund. Should a student cancel their enrolment any time prior to the above a 20% administration fee will be deducted from the refund."
