National Final - Young Grower of the Year Awards Dinner 2022

The 2022 Young Grower of the Year National Final Awards Dinner will be held at the Rutherford Hotel, Nelson on 22 September. We invite you to attend this event in support of the Young Grower finalists in their final activity, the speech component of the competition, before celebrating the winner who will be announced during the dinner.  

Tickets are available either individually or can be booked as a group of 10.  

Dress code is semi-formal. 

6pm - Pre-dinner drinks
7pm - Seated for dinner 

About the Young Grower of the Year competition

Since 2007, Horticulture New Zealand has run the annual National Young Grower of the Year competition. Young fruit and vegetable growers from around the country compete in regional heats, testing their horticultural skills and knowledge. The winners of the regional competitions then compete in the national final.  

The Young Grower pushes contestants out of their comfort zone and teaches them valuable new skills. The competition provides exceptional professional development and networking opportunities, providing a massive career boost to all who enter.
