This workshop is an introductory session in digital illustration for ages 10 and over. A great opportunity if you've ever wanted to, or wanted your child to, tap into the digital realm of illustration.
Roxanne will guide you through the basics in relevant programmes and encourage you to get most of the software. She will also take you through the basics of the creative process: drawing whatever wild creature or monster you've dreamed up, from concept to final drawing: going through ideas, sketching, lineart and colour - toward illustrating your very own Wild Thing!

Cost: $50
Ages: 10+
Participants must bring their own iPad, Tablet or laptop, preferably with a pen or stylus. Devices must have at least one of the following programmes to use in the workshop: either Procreate, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Artrage, Krita, GIMP – These last two are free programmes!
This workshops is also open to those who are interest in digital illustration but don’t yet have a digital device. They are welcome to join in with their own drawing materials.
Roxanne is an equine and pet portrait artist who has a love for all things fantasy. She works in colour pencils and digital painting mostly but is a fan of exploring mediums and learning from all that art offers. She has an educational background in graphic design and has a great love for animals, particularly horses.’

Once you've finished creating your creature, making your monster or whipping up your wild thing, you can head down to The Village Cinema, grab some popcorn and chill out for a screening of 'Where the Wild Things Are'.
