You asked, and we listened — Fiona Tunnicliffe is coming back for round three! Her workshops have sold out fast every time, so if you missed out before, this is your chance.
Over two days you'll learn the fundamentals of animal anatomy in clay — how to read a form, break it down, and build it back up with confidence. Fiona will guide you through construction techniques that extend well beyond this workshop and straight into your everyday practice. All levels welcome, no experience necessary.

- 1 x bag of clay
- A printer's brayer
- Bisque & cone 6 firing for one piece made in the workshop
What to bring:
- Animal photos, with clear detail of heads and feet (no cartoons or copies of other artists' work)
- Pencil and notebook
- A kai to share on both days, if you're able to

Fiona Tunnicliffe is an award-winning ceramic artist and full-time potter of over 30 years, celebrated for her animal-inspired sculptural work. Each piece begins with an animal but takes on a life and personality of its own, brought out through her signature textures, patterns, and relief work. Her work is widely collected and exhibited in galleries throughout New Zealand.
Terms and Conditions
The Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right to cancel a workshop if it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons outside our control. A full refund will be given if the class is cancelled by the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels their enrolment within 72 hours of the workshop starting, no refund will be given. If a student cancels their booking less than 7 days prior to the event a 50% administration charge will be deducted from the refund. Should a student cancel their enrolment any time prior to the above a 20% administration fee will be deducted from the refund.
WSP does not provide make up sessions or credits for workshops that you have missed due to your personal circumstances.less
