Tickets are limited - register now.
The Ombudsman is committed to connecting and building relationships with community groups throughout New Zealand, with Māori, Pacific and Ethnic communities and the children in care sector, to ensure there is ‘Tuia kia ōrite – Fairness for All’ in Aotearoa New Zealand.
If you are a social service organisation supporting individuals, tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau, come and join us to learn about how you can be supported when challenges present and how you can access the complaints procedure. This information session is of particular relevance to those organisations holding Government contracts.
The purposes of the meeting are:
- To introduce and raise awareness of the Ombudsman’s role, functions and responsibilities and how communities can access our services
- To raise awareness about how the Office of the Ombudsman can assist the public with complaints about actions of government agencies that have affected them, and
- To establish connections and discuss how the Ombudsman can support the service providers to better support the community
