Where	The Artery Art Learning Space, 159 17th Ave, Tauranga The Artery is situated next door to the big red barn called The Incubator on Main Street in the Tauranga Histroic Villiage

Ipu are multi purposed baskets woven with harakeke (flax) and are traditionally used for customary purposes such as containing the whenua (placenta) of a newborn, they are great for storage and the perfect alternative to gift wrapping.

During this workshop you will weave both a base and a lid for your Ipu.

The workshop is designed for beginner weavers but some prior knowledge of the processes of weaving would be advantageous.
