DESCRIPTION:THE BASICS OF GLAZING WITH YASMIN\n\nDo you want to be able to successfully glaze your ceramics? Do you\nwant to learn some tried and true techniques on glazing the what to\ndos and the what not to dos. \n\nYasmin will teach you “the magic” in ceramics. Glazing your work\nis not always absolutely necessary, however it can enhance the fired\nclay piece both on an aesthetic and functional level.\n\nWhich glazes to use? Glazes come in literally thousands of\ncombinations of colors, textures, styles and types that can be applied\nin many different ways and fired at a range of temperatures. Glazes\nare sometimes the most exciting part of ceramics. This is partly\nbecause the transformation of the piece when it is fired can be quite\npronounced. \n\nThis is sure to be a great workshop to take your glazing to the next\nlevel.\n\nBring along your bisque-fired work ready for glazing, or we can supply\nbisque-fired work for you to use at $2 a piece on the day.\n\n \n\n* This workshop is recommended for those of you who have not yet\nattended a class or one-on-one session to be sure you can glaze safely\nwithout assistance at the studio. \n - manager@waikatopotters.co.nz - https://www.eventspronto.co.nz/event7229
