Our apologies that this event\nhad to be rescheduled. \n\nLOUISE NICHOLAS, ONZM\n\nLouise is a SURVIVOR of sexual/violence/abuse. After taking on the\njustice system to pursue her allegations of rape by several police\nofficers Louise began campaigning for the rights of survivors of\nsexual abuse. Between 1993 & 2006 after six gruelling court cases\nLouise became the public face of an issue that had largely remained\nhidden. \n\nIn 2007 Rotorua's former CIB boss John Dewar the man she had\nentrusted her original complaint in 1993 was jailed for trying to\nobstruct the course of justice in her case. Louise has dedicated her\nlife to supporting and advocating for the survivors of sexual\nviolence. She is likely to have achieved more for people affected by\nsexual violence than any other single individual over the past thirty\nyears.
