DESCRIPTION:SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS.\n\nAn introduction to making hand-built pottery, wheel-thrown pottery,\nglazing and firing in our raku (oil drum) kiln.\n\nJoin WSP Kiln Technician, David Kenny for a 4-week course in the\nbasics of making pottery. A great foundation in all the main\ntechniques, with a real firing at the end!\n\nDavid is an experienced potter, who regularly teaches beginners at\nNgaruawahia, Te Kauwhata and Te Awamutu. \n\nIdeal for those who haven't touched clay since school and want to try\nout techniques.\n\n \n\nCost of materials & firing is extra. Payments for materials & firing\ncan be paid at the society and will be determined on usage.\n\nPOPULAR COURSE - PLEASE PAY TO SECURE YOUR PLACE.\n\nFACE MASKS MUST BE WORN DURING THE DURATION OF CLASS. \n\nPLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THIS CLASS WILL RUN OVER 5 WEEKS AS WE WILL\nOBSERVE MATARIKI HOLIDAY ON 24TH JUNE. \n\n \n\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS\n\nThe Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right cancel a class\nif it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons outside\nof our control. A full refund will be given if the class is cancelled\nby the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels their\nenrolment within 72 hours of the first class starting, no refund will\nbe given. If a student cancels their booking less than 7 days prior to\nthe event a 50% administration charge will be deducted from the\nrefund.
