DESCRIPTION:Date: Friday 21st Jan\nVenue: Smash Palace\nTicket Cost: $20\nGig: Doors 7:30pm – first band 8pm\n\nThe band Sit Down In Front has had a lot of help over the years from a\nnumber of organisations. To acknowledge this support the band would\nlike to use their E.P album launch to give back to their community.\nAll proceeds from the tickets sold go to GBC.\n\n \n\nGIZZY PUNK ROCK BAND WOOING FANS HERE AND ABROAD\n\nDescribed by their critics as ‘infectiously fun’ and their lead\nsinger touted as ‘magically capturing the essence of a young Johnny\nRotten (Sex Pistols)’ Gisborne youngsters Sit Down in Front are\npreparing to release their new E.P. “Fuelling My Rage”. After\nnotching up an enviable number of opening gigs with some of their\nfavourite bands including Jimmy Barnes, Cold Chisel, Villainy, Ozzie\nrockers The Chats, Elemeno P, Skinny Hobos, Johnny Toogood, and The\nD4, they will be heading back to Smash Palace on Friday 21st January\nto play all the hits from their upcoming E.P. release (released on the\nsame day).\n\nUnder the expert guidance of renown International producer Greg Haver\nthese hard-working schoolboys are balancing school exams with studio\ntime, taking every opportunity to lay down some catchy new tunes for\ntheir eagerly anticipated third major body of work. \n\nHaving already spent 9 weeks on the NZ Music Charts, they have also\nfeatured on MTV (Oz and NZ) with their music video’s Don’t Push\nThe Button and latest single Pixie Caramel, and had air time on The\nRocK, Radio Hauraki and across the ditch on Triple J, Triple M, and K\nRock.\n\nThis three piece is led from the front with frontman and lyrist Cory\nNewman, who uses a wheelchair due to his Cerebral Palsy, but whose\nenergetic performances are enough to warm up and wow any crowd. \nBacked up by talented Guitarist Jackson Clarke, and multi-talented\nself-taught drummer Rikki Noble. \n\nIt’s hard to believe these lads are about to release their third\nbody of work at such a tender age. \n\n \n - gisborneboardriders@gmail.com - https://www.eventspronto.co.nz/sitdowninfront
