Whether your tastes run to Robert Johnson, Reverend Gary\nDavis, BB King or Eric Clapton you'll find something to please you\nwhen some of Tauranga's finest blues players get together to play the\nmusic they love.\n\nTrevor Braunias, long one of Tauranga's leading guitar players,\nunveils his most recent band, the TJS Blues Band.\n\nTrevor on guitar, vocals and harmonica, Julian Clark on bass, vocals\nand harmonica, Stefan Braunias on drums and percussion.\n\nTogether they promise red hot classic electric blues from Chicago, San\nFrancisco, Texas and the English blues boom of the '60s.\n\nKicking off the night at 7pm are two members of renowned blues 'n'\nroots band Kokomo, Derek Jacombs (vocals, guitar) and Grant Bullot\n(harmonica, washboard). They offer gritty authentic acoustic blues and\nragtime from the '20s, 30s and 40s, songs from “Mississippi” John\nHurt, Bessie Smith and more.\n\n \n\nWhat the papers said about the debut of the TJS Blues Band:\n\n_“There are many people who will be excited about this. Trevor has\nplayed in many styles over the past decades, with his own jazz trio,\nhis duo, with bands from Hobbit and Cloud to Torch Songs and The Bay\nBig Band.
