DESCRIPTION: ART AFTER SCHOOL - AGES 7 – 13 \n   \n WEDNESDAY 3.30PM – 5.00PM \n   \n DATES\n  \n March 10th & 17th, 24th & 31st, April 7th & 14th \n   \n Drop-off at 3.30pm and pickup between 5.00pm - 5.15pm \n   \n PRICE - TWO OPTIONS \n   \n 1. Two weekly classes $30 per student (only $15 per class), OR \n 3. Six week program $75 (save $15) \n   \n For those with Children's Day gift vouchers, please email us to\nredeem the voucher and book. \n   \n ABOUT THE CLASSES \n   \n Explore a variety of art mediums and styles with our very experienced\ntutor Maxine McClenaghan. Kids will be able to explore art through\nworking with clay, watercolours, mixed media, print, abstraction,\ncollage and natural found objects across the six weeks. The program is\nrun as two weekly sessions, or join all six workshops. \n   \n\nMARCH 10 & 17  - GIANT COLLAGE ANIMALS: Students will begin by\nexploring their emotions through the fun process of making papers\nusing different media and mark making tools. They will use the papers\nto collage a colourful and textured background. Next they will create\nthe eyes and nose of their chosen animal for their collage using\npastels and indian ink. This will include a step by step tutorial on\nhow to draw animal features. Lastly, the animal face will be put\ntogether on the collaged background with details added. \n\nMARCH 24 & 31 - ARTIST TRADING CARDS: Artist trading cards (ATCs) are\nminiature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists\ncreate, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in\nperson or online. In these workshops the students will create a set of\nsix or more artist trading card artworks using a huge variety of media\nsuch as inks, crayons, watercolours, colour pencils, collage, pens\netc... They will then have the option to swap some of their trading\ncards with other fellow artists in the class, including the tutor\n(only if they want to).
