DESCRIPTION: The inaugural Humminbird Omaha Fishing Tournament has been created\nwith a vital aim – to raise needed funds for the Auckland Rescue\nHelicopter Trust, while hosting an exhilarating 7-day measure only\ncompetition. \n   \n Open to all, we are offering friends and families, what can only be\ndescribed as an action-packed experience – both on and off the\nwater. \n   \n Easter 2021 marks the start of a fishing tournament with a\ndifference…. spend 7 days on the water fishing with your crew in a\nnew and sustainable manner (using the ‘catch and release’\ntechnique). Then at the end of the week come along to our prize giving\ncelebration at the Omaha Golf Course; to be in with a chance to win\nover 100K worth of prizes, dance to live music, have a few drinks at\nthe bar, take part in our highly anticipated charity auction and get a\nrare look inside one of the charities helicopters! \n   \n On April 10th we are excited to announce one of our rescue crews will\nalso be there teaching your dearest & nearest water safety skills\nincluding resuscitation, the importance of wearing floatation devices,\nsearch and rescue techniques and educating us on some of the\nlife-saving rescues they have attended in the local Omaha area.  \n   \n We believe that it is our responsibility to teach the next generation\nhow to combine water safety skills and the importance of fishing\nsustainably. \n   \n This is a community fishing event like no other! - eventsmanager@arht.org.nz - https://www.eventspronto.co.nz/ARHTfishing
