DESCRIPTION:THURSDAY 8TH OCTOBER, 9AM - 3PM\n\nIn this full-day workshop, your child/ren will get to make their own\npottery pieces using a variety of techniques, including:\n\n 	* Pinch Pot Creatures - using the pinch pot method and adding\nfeatures to create an animal or any creature in their imagination.\n 	* Make a Vase or Pencil Cup - use the slab technique to build a vase\nor pencil cup and decorate it with texture and cookie cutter shapes,\nor their own designs.\n 	* Adventures on the Wheel - have a fun, messy time spinning clay and\nmaking pots on the pottery wheel.\n 	* Make a coil pot - using the coiling method they can make a\ntrinket bowl or other vessel and decorate it with their own individual\nadditions.\n\nWe will have four experienced potters facilitating the activities and\nguiding your child/ren through the creative process. The emphasis will\nbe on fun and creativity!\n\nINCLUDED COSTS:\nThe price includes the firing and glazing of one finished piece per\nchild per activity, so 4 pieces in total. \n\nPLEASE BRING:\n_Please provide MORNING AND AFTERNOON TEA, AND LUNCH for your\nchild._ We will provide breaks between activities for your child to\neat and drink. \nYour child/ren may want to wear clothes they don't mind getting\ndirty, as potting is a lot of fun and a little messy!\nPlease make sure your child/ren are wearing_ CLOSED-TOE SHOES.\n_This is a health & safety requirement.\n\nDROP OFF AND PICK UP:\nYou can drop off your child/ren between 8.45 and 9am. Activities will\nstart at 9am sharp.\nYou can pick up your child between 3pm and 3.15pm. Parents are welcome\nto stay with their child/ren for the day too.\n\nCOLLECTION OF FINISHED PIECES:\nIt will take _3 WEEKS_ for us to bisque fire the pieces, glaze them\nwith a durable shiny finish, and then high-fire them again to seal\nthem. All creations can be collected after 3 weeks time, within the\nhours of 9.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-1pm Saturdays.\n\n_TERMS AND CONDITIONS:\nThe Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right to cancel a\nclass if it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons\noutside of our control. A full refund will be given if the class is\ncancelled by the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels\ntheir enrolment within 72 hours of the first class starting, no refund\nwill be given. If a student cancels their booking less than 7 days\nprior to the event a 50% administration charge will be deducted from\nthe refund. Should a student cancel their enrolment any time prior to\nthe above a 20% administration fee will be deducted from the refund._\n\n_Please read the WSP Code of Conduct.
