DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP\n\nThis TWO DAY ‘TRAIN-THE-TRAINERS’ WORKSHOP has been designed to\nassist those individuals wanting to upskill and deliver training\nsessions for their workplace colleagues, their local community\nagencies or for those wanting to provide training as part of their\ntraining business.\n\nThe focus of this workshop will be ‘an introduction to family\nviolence’ with a focus on intimate partner violence.  The session\nwill cover various definitions, prevalence, signs and symptoms and\ndemonstrate some tools to help understand the dynamics associated with\nintimate partner violence within the context of family violence.\n\nThe workshop will provide an opportunity to:\n\n 	* Review ‘training materials’ with a view that attendees will\nhave increased confidence to present relevant information to their\nintended audience\n 	* Provide an opportunity for interactive feedback and group\ndiscussions about improving training outcomes, such as providing a\nsafe training environment, responding to common questions and dealing\nwith disclosures.\n\nTHE FACILITATOR\n\nRob has worked in the family violence sector for over 35 years.  His\nwork in this area was recognised in the New Year Honours list in\n2006.  He shares his extensive experience from Police, an inaugural\nmember of the New Zealand Family Violence Death Review Committee,\ninternational experience throughout the Pacific with NZAID and health\nexperience through his role as the Violence Intervention Programme\nCoordinator for CCDHB.\n\nRob has developed and delivered training to groups and communities\nthroughout New Zealand on a wide range of family violence-related\ntopics including risk assessment and safety planning, strangulation in\nthe context of IPV, specific workplace and wider inter-agency\nresponses to family violence.\n\n \n\nTO ARRANGE A WORKSHOP ON GROUP RATE BASIS AT A TIME AND PLACE TO\nBETTER SUIT YOU.  PLEASE CONTACT ROB DIRECTLY ON 027-498-8653\n[tel:027-498-8653].  IF YOU ARE A GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT OR\nORGANISATION THAT NEEDS TO BE INVOICED PLEASE ALSO CALL ROB DIRECTLY.\n\n \n - robveale@xtra.co.nz - https://www.eventspronto.co.nz/Porirua13
