A great foundation in a variety of construction\ntechniques, with an exciting firing event at the end!\n\nIdeal for those who haven't touched clay since school and want to try\nout techniques.\n\nCost of materials & firing is extra. \n\n-------------------------\n\nYOUR TUTORS\n\nLARISSA MILSUM loves simple, functional forms and has a particular\ninterest in incorporating elements of the natural environment into\nher pots. This involves adding found materials to clay bodies and\nglazes. Larissa has an arts degree and a range of experience working\nin a production studio, and doing residencies at Driving Creek and the\nWaikato Society of Potters. \n\nMARK TAMURA is a first generation New Zealander who grew up in the\nfoothills of the Waitakere Ranges in West Auckland, not too far from\nthe New Lynn clay pits.\n\nMark was introduced to the world of ceramics through evening wheel\nthrowing classes at WSP where he went on to be a resident artist and\nhas now established his own home studio. Mark’s  practice focuses\non functional wheel-thrown wares that bring a little something extra\nto our daily rituals, meals with family and friends, or that freshly\nbrewed morning cuppa. Mark also enjoys experimenting with wild clay\nand giving people the opportunity to bring some of their whenua into\ntheir homes for daily use or special occasions.\n\n-------------------------\n\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS\n\n_The Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right cancel a\nclass if it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons\noutside of our control. A full refund will be given if the class is\ncancelled by the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels\ntheir enrolment within 72 hours of the first class starting, no refund\nwill be given. If a student cancels their booking less than 7 days\nprior to the event a 50% administration charge will be deducted from\nthe refund.
