DESCRIPTION:This joint presentation brings together three key government agencies\n- NZTA, Tauranga City Council, and Bay of Plenty Regional Council - to\nprovide a strategic overview of how they are working collaboratively\nto tackle Tauranga’s transport challenges. The session will outline\neach organisation’s current strategic work programme and their\nshared role in planning for the city’s rapid growth. Presenters will\naddress the unique and collective strategies guiding investment and\nplanning, the challenges of urban expansion, network capacity, and\nfunding, and the opportunities for integrated, future-focused\nsolutions.\n\nAt the event the Council's will be hosting  CILT and ENZ TG. A light\nfinger-food breakfast will be provided.\n\nSPEAKERS\n\nSUSAN COLLINS, NZTA\n\nSusan Collins is the Regional Manager NZTA for System Design for the\nWaikato and Bay of Plenty and has been in the role for 8 months.\n Prior to that Susan worked in the Local Government Partnerships team\nin NZTA.  Susan’s background is working in the government sector\nwith 20+ years experience in leadership roles in a number of\nministries and agencies.  Susan’s work focus is as sponsor of the\nRoads of National significance for the Waikato / Bay of Plenty,\nworking with local government on RLTP development and delivery and\nmaintaining relationships across the sector.\n\nCOLE O&#39;KEEFE, NZTA\n\nCole O’Keefe is the Lead System Planner for the NZ Transport Agency\ncovering the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. His role focuses on\naligning regional and national transport decisions with long-term\ngoals and government priorities. With nearly 17 years at the Agency,\nhe has worked across environmental consenting, investment advisory,\nland transport planning and strategic partnership roles. A career\nhighlight was leading the Urban Form and Transport Initiative,\nadvancing integrated planning that connects land use and transport to\ndeliver better outcomes for communities in the Western Bay of Plenty\nsubregion.\n\nSARAH DOVE, TCC\n\nSarah Dove is the Team Leader - Transport Strategy and Infrastructure\nat Tauranga City Council (TCC). With 20 years of experience in traffic\nand transportation management across New Zealand and the UK, Sarah\nbrings a strong mix of technical expertise and strategic leadership.\nHer background spans business case development, transport planning and\nassessment, and transport strategy and policy. Sarah leads a diverse\nportfolio of transport and infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on\nenabling sustainable urban growth.\n\nMATT KILPATRICK, BOPRC\n\nMatthew Kilpatrick is a Senior Transport Planner for Bay of Plenty\nRegional Council (BOPRC). Matthew brings nine years of experience\nacross local and central government, as well as the private sector,\nwith a strong background in transport planning, strategy and policy,\nand business case investment planning for projects in both New Zealand\nand Australia. Matthew has also recently taken on the role of\nProgramme Manager for the Transport System Plan (TSP) Partnership in\nthe Western Bay of Plenty.
