DESCRIPTION:Maker's Mark\nSunday 18 May, 1.30 to 4.30pm\n\nJoin Yasmin Davis to create your potter's mark stamp, or any other\nsmall texture stamps you have in mind!\n\nIn this workshop, you will learn to carve into plaster with a\nspecialised tool to create small and intricate stamps. Once your\ndesign is finalised, you will use porcelain clay to make a negative\nimpression. The porcelain clay then gets bisque fired and becomes your\nMaker's Mark stamp!\n\nThis is the perfect method for creating small, detailed stamps that\nyou can use over and over. You can keep the plaster slab as a master\ntoo, meaning you can use it to create more stamps, should you lose or\nbreak them.\n\nAll materials and tools you need for this workshop are included in the\nenrolment fee:\n\n 	* Small plaster slabs\n 	* A carving tool\n 	* Porcelain clay\n 	* Bisque firing of stamps created at the workshop\n\nJust bring your ideas and a pencil and paper.\n\nYOUR TUTOR\n\nYasmin is a warm and welcoming tutor, who has an incredible wealth of\nknowledge in all areas of ceramics and shares her skills generously.\nShe is an exhibiting ceramics artist and also teaches classes\nat Diploma level. You will be sure to benefit from her expertise.\n\n_TERMS AND CONDITIONS_\n\n_The Waikato Society of Potters (WSP) reserves the right to cancel a\nclass if it fails to achieve minimum enrolment numbers, for reasons\noutside of our control. A full refund will be given if the class is\ncancelled by the WSP less a 5% credit card fee. If a student cancels\ntheir enrolment within 72 hours of the first class starting, no refund\nwill be given. If a student cancels their booking less than 7 days\nprior to the event a 50% administration charge will be deducted from\nthe refund.
