Give surfing a go - GBC Open Day

As part of the 2026 Surfing Nationals here in Gisborne, we are offering a subsidised learn to surf experience for all ages and genders. We have got wetsuits and boards for you, as well as experienced surf coaches keen to share the stoke with you!

Bring your family, friends and anyone keen to give surfing a go. Experience the feel of gliding on the waves and having fun in the water.

$10 for an hour.
Mon, 12th January 2026 from 9am to 12pm.
1hour per session - 3 time slots.

Just bring yourself and a smile, nothing else required.

All 6-year-old kids must have a parent/adult present in the water.
