ZOE SIZEMORE – ‘Flock or Folly’ Solo Exhibition. 

Exhibition Dates: 8th - 21st October 2021.

Join us on Friday - October, 8 at the exhibition opening of “Flock or Folly” by a talented, local artist Zoe Sizemore with a Guest Speaker: Paul Cuming from The Western Bay Wildlife Trust. From 5pm onward. Complimentary drinks and nibbles will be provided on the night.

Please Book 1 Session as the maximum number of attendees allowed in Level 2 is 50 per event:

From our artist: Zoe Sizemore
"I have worked in the design industry for many years and dabbled in environmental based art, this will be my first solo exhibition since finishing at Elam School of Fine art in 2005.

I grew up in Northland with artistic parents, studying many art disciplines throughout my secondary schooling and going onto major in Graphic Design at the University of Auckland's Elam School of Fine Art. I loved art history and was offered the honours programme as an option but turned it down to head into the field for more hands on experience.

I worked in many industries following graduation including sign-writing, publication design, and product development before going out on my own in 2012 after having my first child. Following this I moved into craft creating custom designed fabrics and sewing baby bibs and toys to sell at markets.  

As this ran its course I moved into apparel design starting a business called Triple Z Enterprises where I created designs to raise awareness for the planet and the environment through artistic apparel. This has lead into my passion for native birds in the environment and raising awareness to protect what we have before it is lost like so many of the wonderful and unique species that used to abide habitat Aotearoa in large numbers before being wiped out such as the Moa and the Huia.
