Secure your child's spot and book a time on your calender to watch the weekly video, create your art while watching, or work on it over the week, then snap a photo of it to submit to your teacher, Kim, that's ME. Yes, you can attach your photo right inside the website, right on the same page as the lesson. Your child will receive feedback there as well.
Your child will have their own login so that they can get into the website at anytime. They will have access to the course for the whole term, and receive a certificate at the end. The website can be used from any device.
If you would like to enrol siblings, please make sure to take the sibling discount when enrolling, so that each of your children will have their own login to communicate with the teacher seperately.
Enrol now, enjoy the school holiday break, and on January 30, 2023 you will get sent access to the website so that you can start that day, or any day that week.

WHAT WILL THEY LEARN:
My goal is to teach your child to think like an artist, making their own decisions about their art, using the taught drawing and painting skills, that I'll be demonstrating. I will be showing them how to work in their sketchbook to get their ideas down, how to copy from a picture, and change it to become their own, and how to get more meaning into their art. Playng with mixed medium (meaning to use different materials all in one piece) A lot will be covered, and there is an emphasis on free choice. So, depending on the student's age and abilities, they will be able to work at their own level. They will be able to do just as I'm doing, or explore ideas that come to them, and all will be celebrated inside our private site.
WHAT AGE IS THIS FOR?
Most people find me because they are thinking of their kids, so I'll talk to that first. I find that students age 8-13 do best in my classes, however, some younger children also do really well. (you know your child best- and whether you can be there for support)
At the same time, adults who are beginners and want to feel better about creating art, realllly love these lessons. You so don't have to be a kid. I'm pretty welcoming, and here to help and answer questions. I really want everyone to feel like an artist!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED AT HOME to get started:
Have a look through the art supplies you may already have. I encourage using up what you've already got, and do not expect you to purchase expensive supplies.
An A4 sketchbook
HB pencil
Black ball point pen or fine liner pen
Black vivid, sharpie or other permanent felt
Set of watercolour palettes (I don't recommend the cheapest ones from the dollar store, but the disc sets from Warehouse stationery in nz are pretty good and affordable
Brushes - you can get a set of nice soft paint brushes at any $2 shop
Coloured pencils
Glue stick + Scissors or a bit of collage
Your child will also be able to use any other medium that they enjoy, and they may ask questions too.
