Slab Building 3 hr Workshop – Alex Wilkinson

Why wet slab building?

Slab building is a great way to produce light, functional tableware. Wet slabs are slightly harder to mange then dry slabs but allow you to work with more curves without cracking. This process will take some practice but once mastered be a great way to produce volume or one-off unique pieces. Paper clay is recommended for this process as other clays may crack under the tension of the curves.
