Adults - Watercolour Painting (Wednesdays- Term 2)

This course contains a variety of guided, practical sessions that will help you develop paint-handling skills and techniques. You will work with watercolour on a chosen project, simple enough for an absolute beginner but challenging for those with some experience.

*Please don't buy watercolour materials until after the first class.

 

Materials:

  • 4 x A3 300g sheets - 100 % cotton 
  • *It is important that the paper is 300g
  • Watercolour tube paints - artist quality (Paynes grey, titanium white, cadmium red, cobalt blue, cadmium yellow, sepia) 
  • Set of brushes 
  • Tissues or soft paper towels
  • Paper and HB pencil for sketching
  • Masking fluid or white crayon or white candle
  • Piece of hardboard or similar
  • Tape to fix your paper to the board

 

Location:

All classes, workshops and social events are held in our Art Space, in the rear courtyard of Square Edge Community Arts Centre, 47 The Square.  After 3.00 pm, please enter and exit via Jersey Lane, off Fitzherbert Avenue.
