Where	Wharekahika, Hinemaurea Marae, Hicks Bay

Join us for our an exciting noho and community surf experience at Wharekahika/ Hicks Bay. Connect with the local community, learn about Maori customs and the history of the region. Help giving others an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the sport we love so much.

We will be staying at Hinemaurea Marae overnight sharing kai and stories, truly connecting to each other.

We invite all club members to join us for this amazing experience.

Rough schedule for the weekend:

Sat, 17th April

10am Powhiri at marae
10.30am - 2pm learn to surf for kids and whanau with fun tag team event
  BBQ and a prize giving in between
2.30pm Set up marae
3-5pm         Free time
5-6pm    Cultural learnings (site and surfing history of the region)
7pm    Shared Kai (Dinner)

Sun, 18th April
8am Breakfast and marae clean-up
9am - 12pm Surfing and Beach Clean-upless
