Trimax Site Visit : Supply Chain & Logistics in Export Manufacturer

When
Thursday 20th February 2025 7:15am
Where  Trimax Mowing Systems, 76 Maleme Street, Tauranga View Map Trimax occupies 3 sites in Maleme Street - be sure to set your GPS for 76 Maleme Street.

This Tauranga business designs its own products, sources components worldwide, has its own manufacturing and distribution centers in 4 countries and distributes to over 40 countries.

This is no small feat when you consider the largest product in the range is 10.54m wide x 2.74m long x 4.45m high and the smallest part supplied is a 6mm nut.

After 43 years of operation from its Tauranga headquarters the company also has its own manufacturing, assembly and warehousing facilities in Australia, the UK and the USA Trimax runs its own distribution in these markets and has an established network of distributors in continental Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South Africa.

The niche nature of this business means it may fly under the radar locally, but has a world-class reputation in the fine grass mowing industry and well known in the local export industry, where it has been awarded local exporter of the year in 1993, 2003 and 2015.

If you get excited about supply chain and logistics, love innovation or love international business, this visit is for you. Here's why:

  • Over 7,000 components are needed to manufacture the current models in the Trimax range.
  • Designed for longevity the company stocks parts and consumables (blades, bolts and bearings) to service every model of mower it has produced in its 43 year history.
  • All products are designed to be:
    • constructed of sub-assemblies and components that collapse down into a shipping container for international transport.
    •  moved efficiently from the assembly plant to the customer by truck - catering for the variable loading and carrying conditions in each country serviced.
    • road-legal when attached to a tractor and driven on the road in all jurisdictions the mower is destined for (in some models the road-legal kit is an optional extra to save expense for users who never go off-grass.)

Numbers are strictly limited, so register now to avoid disappointment.
